There is Hope was originally written for the second Festival of Freedom at the Forks in Grand Forks, B.C. held on the lawns of the Doukhobor Community Centre. The theme for the festival was “Building Cultures of Peace and Respect for Human Dignity and Ecological Integrity”. Since then the song has been sung at many peace functions, concerts and gatherings.
